Getting SafeSport Certified

First Tee and its chapters are committed to creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all participants and individuals affiliated with the organization. As part of our commitment, all employees, coaches, volunteers and board members will complete a background check, SafeSport training and Assistant Coach Training before working with our youth. Listed below are the steps to complete all the necessary training! If you would like more information or have questions, please email [email protected].

Step 1

When you are ready to start your training, you will click on one of the links below. If you are new to First Tee, you must create a free SportsEngine account. If you forgot your log in information, please do not set up another SportsEngine account with a new email address. If you create another SportsEngine account this will not assign the correct Safe Sport training and will delay access to the next training.

Step 2

Send an email to [email protected] when you have completed all the training in step 1. Once you have a passed background check and completed Safesport training, you will receive another email with a link to a short Coach Training. This training is a great introduction to our program, what a class will look like and our expectations of you.

Step 3

After completing step 1 and 2, you are officially ready to volunteer! All that’s left is to attend a First Tee class and start working with children in our program. We are so happy that you are a part of our chapter! Please contact us if you have any other questions!
